Sea turtles and dugongs can be spotted in shallow water in Abu Dabbab Bay, while Sataya Reef is home to a dolphin colony of hundreds. Both can be seen while snorkeling, with no certification required. Boat trips to advanced dive sites such as Elphinstone and Dolphin House are available for certified divers. Diving packages are not included in the program and can be purchased locally. After a day of diving, you must wait at least 18–24 hours before boarding a flight; the return day has been planned accordingly.
