There is no land route to Butterfly Valley; it can only be reached by boat. The valley is surrounded by steep cliffs reaching 350 metres and is home to more than 80 butterfly species. The Blue Cave, formed as waves eroded volcanic rocks, is another swimming spot accessible only by boat. Since there is no pier in Ölüdeniz, boats depart from the main beach in the morning.
