Caribbean Cruise Tours

Caribbean cruises usually depart from Miami or Fort Lauderdale and visit the Bahamas, Mexico and the Caribbean islands on a single trip. This page lists the Caribbean cruise itineraries currently available.

Routes and Ports

Eastern Caribbean itineraries call at San Juan (Puerto Rico), St. Thomas, St. Maarten and Tortola; Western Caribbean itineraries visit Cozumel, Costa Maya and Roatan. Royal Caribbean’s private island CocoCay and MSC’s Ocean Cay are also included on some routes.

Ships

Some of the world’s largest passenger ships, including Icon of the Seas, MSC World and Costa ships, sail these routes. Large ships offer amenities such as water parks, ice rinks and a wide choice of restaurants.

Duration and Price

Programs range from 7 to 12 nights. The overall travel time is longer due to the long flight distance. Per-person prices start at around 2.172 euros.

When to Go?

The best time to visit the Caribbean is between December and April; June–November is hurricane season, and routes may change depending on weather conditions.

Visa

As the departure ports (Miami, Fort Lauderdale) are in the US, Turkish citizens need a US visa; the visa requirements for other countries visited are listed on the tour’s page.

How Do You Get to the Ship?

Caribbean cruises mostly depart from the ports of Miami and Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) in Florida. You can fly to these cities from Türkiye either directly or with a connection; as the journey is long, arriving at least one day before the ship departs is recommended. Whether flights and the pre-departure hotel night are included in the package is stated on each sailing’s page.

What Can You Do at the Ports?

In the Bahamas, highlights include beach days in Nassau and on cruise lines’ private islands; snorkeling among the coral reefs off Mexico’s Cozumel Island and trips to nearby Maya ruins; and Maho Beach beside the airport runway in St. Maarten, along with its French-Dutch twin towns. Diving and snorkeling are popular in Roatan (Honduras), while Magens Bay is a favorite beach in St. Thomas. Shore excursions can be booked through the cruise line or explored independently.

What Is Included on the Ship?

Cabin accommodation, meals in the main restaurant and buffet, shows, pools and water parks on larger ships are included in the price. Drinks packages, specialty restaurants, internet and shore excursions are charged separately. On sailings departing from the US, the onboard currency is the US dollar and a daily service charge applies; whether this is included is stated on each sailing’s page.

Who Is It Suitable For?

Caribbean cruises are ideal for travellers who want to see tropical islands in a single trip, with a different island visited each day. Water parks and shows on large ships are a highlight for families. As the trip requires a long flight and a US visa, a holiday of at least two weeks is recommended.
