About Saint Catherine's Monastery and Mount Sinai Tour
St. Catherine's Monastery, in the heart of the Sinai Peninsula, has been in continuous operation since the 6th century, and Mount Moses rises to 2,285 meters. The program begins with a midnight hotel pickup. After an approximately 3-hour climb up Mount Moses, watch the sunrise from the summit. After descending, visit the monastery. The climb is moderately difficult but long; closed-toe shoes, a flashlight and a jacket are required (it is cold at the summit before dawn). Modest clothing is required when visiting the monastery. A daytime option without the climb can also be arranged for those who only wish to visit the monastery.
