The Colored Canyon is a sandstone gorge in the interior of Sinai, its layers colored over millions of years. The main stop on the tour is an approximately 800-meter section that you walk through. The journey includes a jeep ride through the desert, a stop at a Bedouin village and traditional tea. Lunch is served in a Bedouin tent. The hike is easy, but the ground is rocky; closed-toe shoes and a hat are required. The canyon is in eastern Sinai, near Nuweiba. It is approximately 190 km and a 3-hour drive from Sharm El Sheikh, with the final stretch across sandy terrain by jeep.
