Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 — From Istanbul to Sarajevo

Meet at the international terminal of Sabiha Gökçen Airport; you are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before the flight. The Pegasus Airlines flight departs at 09:15 and arrives in Sarajevo at 10:10. A city tour follows, covering Baščaršija, Sebilj Square, the Coppersmiths’ Bazaar, the Latin Bridge, the Sacred Heart Cathedral and the Eternal Flame Monument. Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Ottoman-era bazaars sit alongside streets dating from the Austro-Hungarian period. Baščaršija, established in the 15th century, is considered the city center, with its coppersmith workshops, small shops and Sebilj Fountain. Copperwork is still practiced on Kazandžiluk Street in the Coppersmiths’ Bazaar, where handmade coffee pots and plates are made. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 — Sarajevo

The day begins with an open-buffet breakfast at the hotel. On the optional excursion, which you can join if you wish, you will visit Blagaj Tekke, the Neretva River, Blagaj Dervish Lodge, Mostar Old Bridge, Mostar Bridge, and Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque; those who do not choose this tour can enjoy free time at the hotel. During your free time, you can also explore the area around Sarajevo's Baščaršija on foot at your own expense. Blagaj Tekke is a 16th-century building located where the Buna River emerges from the foot of a cliff, and is one of the best-known dervish lodges in the Balkans. The Neretva River flows through the Herzegovina region from end to end, stands out for its turquoise color, and is known for the bridge in Mostar. Mostar Old Bridge (Stari Most) is an example of 16th-century Ottoman architecture and was added to the UNESCO list after its reconstruction; it is also known for the tradition of jumping from the bridge. Accommodation will be at the hotel.

Day 3 — From Sarajevo to Istanbul
