Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 — From Istanbul to Sarajevo

Our team will meet you at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport; we recommend arriving at the terminal at least three hours before your flight. Your Turkish Airlines flight departs at 12:45 and arrives in Sarajevo at 13:35. On the city tour, you'll see Baščaršija, Sebilj Square, the Coppersmiths' Bazaar, the Latin Bridge, the Sacred Heart Cathedral and the Eternal Flame Memorial. Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Ottoman-era bazaar streets sit alongside avenues dating from the Austro-Hungarian period. Baščaršija, established in the 15th century, is considered the heart of the city, with its coppersmith workshops, small shops and Sebilj Fountain. Copperwork is still practiced today on Kazandžiluk Street, known as the Coppersmiths' Bazaar, where handmade coffee pots and plates are made. Overnight accommodation is at your hotel.

Day 2 — Sarajevo

The day begins with a buffet breakfast at your hotel. The optional excursion available for purchase includes Blagaj Tekke, the Neretva River, Blagaj Dervish Tekke, Mostar Old Bridge, Mostar Bridge and Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque; those who do not choose this tour can spend their free time at the hotel. Blagaj Tekke, built where the Buna River emerges from beneath the cliffs, dates back to the 16th century and is one of the best-known dervish lodges in the Balkans. The Neretva River, which runs through the Herzegovina region, is known for its turquoise waters and its bridge in Mostar. Also known as Stari Most, Mostar Old Bridge is an example of 16th-century Ottoman architecture; after being rebuilt, it was added to the UNESCO list and became famous for the tradition of diving from the bridge. Overnight accommodation is at your hotel again tonight.

Day 3 — Sarajevo

A buffet breakfast is served at your hotel in the morning. An optional excursion visits the Tunnel of Hope, the Bosna River, Vrelo Bosne National Park, Travnik Castle, the Alaca Mosque and the Suleymaniye Mosque; those who do not wish to join can enjoy free time at the hotel. The Tunnel of Hope, dug by hand beneath the airport runway during the siege, can now be visited as a museum. During your free time, you can visit the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque in Sarajevo independently. You will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 4 — From Sarajevo to Istanbul

Following breakfast, transfer from your hotel to the airport is provided. The Turkish Airlines flight departs from Sarajevo at 14:25 and lands at Istanbul Airport at 17:25.
