Meet at the international departures terminal of Sabiha Gökçen Airport; we recommend arriving at least three hours before your flight. Depart for Sarajevo on a Pegasus flight (departure 12:10, arrival 12:05). On the city tour, you will visit Baščaršija, Sebilj Square, the Coppersmiths' Bazaar, Latin Bridge, the Sacred Heart Cathedral, and the Eternal Flame Memorial. Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Ottoman bazaar streets stand alongside avenues dating from the Austro-Hungarian period. Founded in the 15th century, Baščaršija is considered the heart of the city, with its coppersmith workshops, small shops, and Sebilj Fountain. Copperworking is still practiced on Kazandžiluk Street in the Coppersmiths' Bazaar, where handmade coffee pots and plates are produced. Overnight at the hotel.
The day begins with an open-buffet breakfast at the hotel. On the optional excursion, you will see Blagaj Tekke, the Neretva River, Blagaj Dervish Tekke, Mostar Old Bridge, Mostar Bridge and Koski Mehmet Pasha Mosque; those who do not join the excursion can enjoy free time at the hotel. During your free time, you can explore the area around Baščaršija by taking a walk along the Miljacka River in Sarajevo at your own pace. Blagaj Tekke is a 16th-century structure built where the Buna River emerges from beneath a rock, and is one of the best-known dervish lodges in the Balkans. The Neretva River is known for its turquoise waters and flows through the Herzegovina region from one end to the other. Mostar Old Bridge, known as Stari Most, is a 16th-century Ottoman structure; after being rebuilt, it was added to the UNESCO list and became famous for the tradition of diving from the bridge. Overnight accommodation will be at the hotel.
After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport. You will return to Istanbul on a Pegasus Airlines flight (departure 18:10, arrival 22:00). On the optional excursion, you will visit the Tunnel of Hope, Baščaršija, the Bosna River and Vrelo Bosne National Park; those who do not choose this tour can enjoy free time at the hotel. The Tunnel of Hope is a passage dug by hand beneath the airport runway during the years of the siege and is now open to visitors as a museum.
