Tours You Can Take with a Turkish Ordinary Passport

This page features tours available to holders of ordinary passports without a consulate application or appointment. The list includes three groups: countries that are completely visa-free, countries that issue visas on arrival at the airport, and countries that offer e-visas obtainable online within a few days. Tours with itineraries that include a country requiring a Schengen or other consular visa are not listed.

What Is an Ordinary Passport?

A burgundy passport is the ordinary passport issued to Turkish citizens and is the most common type of passport. Unlike green (special) and grey (service) passports, it requires a visa for many countries, particularly those in the Schengen Area. This page brings together tours you can take with a burgundy passport without applying for a visa, or by completing the application in just a few minutes online. The classification is based on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ list of “Visa Requirements for Turkish Citizens.”

Countries Offering Visas on Arrival

Visas for Egypt, the Maldives, Malaysia, South Africa, Cambodia, Madagascar, the Dominican Republic and Tanzania are issued on arrival, at the airport or at the border. The 30-day visa for the Maldives is free of charge, Malaysia provides a free 90-day tourist visa, and South Africa issues a visa-free entry stamp for stays of up to 30 days. For programs in Cairo and the Red Sea, the Egyptian visa is obtained upon entry; only short visits spent in the Sinai Peninsula (Sharm El Sheikh) are eligible for a free “Sinai Only” stamp. Whether the visa fee is included in the package is stated in the tour’s inclusions and exclusions.

Countries You Can Visit with an E-Visa

Visas for Vietnam, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Kenya (eTA), Russia, Mexico and Armenia can be obtained online; there is no need to visit a consulate. Processing times vary: applications for a Russian e-visa must be submitted at least four days in advance, Taiwan’s e-visa is free, and since May 25, 2026, Sri Lanka has issued free 30-day tourist visas before arrival. For multi-country Far East tours (for example, Thailand–Vietnam–Cambodia), each country’s application must be completed separately.

Completely Visa-Free Destinations

Most Balkan countries, Japan, South Korea (with K-ETA), Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Morocco, Tunisia, Qatar, Jordan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and most South American countries are visa-free for Turkish ordinary passport holders. A separate list of tours to these destinations is available on the Visa-Free International Tours page. Both lists are shown here; you can tell which group a tour belongs to by the countries on its itinerary.

Before You Set Off

Your passport is expected to be valid for at least six months from your return date. For countries where visas are issued on arrival, you should have your return ticket and hotel reservation with you; on a package tour, these documents are already part of your booking. As visa rules may change at the discretion of each country, we recommend checking the latest information with an official source before you travel.

Which Tour Is Right for Which Group?

The route for each tour in the list is shown on its own page, country by country. A tour appearing on this page means that every country on its itinerary can be entered either visa-free or with a visa on arrival or an e-visa. For example, on a Singapore–Malaysia–Bali program, Singapore and Indonesia are visa-free, while Malaysia provides a free visa on arrival; that is why the tour is listed here. Combined programs that add China or a Schengen country to the route are not included and appear on the Visa Required Tours page. Tours with unclear country-entry information are left off the list to avoid providing inaccurate information.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I travel to Egypt with an ordinary passport?

Yes. The Egyptian visa is obtained at the airport on arrival; for short visits staying only in Sharm El Sheikh, the free Sinai stamp is sufficient. A full tourist visa is required for itineraries that include Cairo.

Can I travel to Europe without a visa with a burgundy passport?

Visas are required for Schengen countries, the United Kingdom and Ireland. European countries that can be visited visa-free with an ordinary Turkish passport are Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Moldova and Ukraine.

What’s the difference between a visa on arrival and an e-visa?

A visa on arrival is issued at the airport or border upon arrival; an e-visa is obtained online before departure, and its printout or approval must be presented on entry. Neither requires a visit to a consulate.

Is the visa fee included in the tour?

It depends on the tour. Whether the visa fee and e-visa processing are included in the package is specified separately in each tour’s inclusions and exclusions.

Are the Listed Prices per Person?

Yes. The amount shown on the cards is the starting price per person for one adult sharing a room with another guest. The single-room supplement, child rates and prices that vary by date are shown in the calendar on each tour’s page.

How do I make a reservation?
