Weekend Tours

Weekend tours are short itineraries of no more than three nights, departing on Friday or Saturday and returning on Sunday or Monday. This page lists tours lasting 1–3 nights: Balkan capitals with short flights, Batumi, Egypt’s Red Sea coast, single-city European getaways, and cultural itineraries within Türkiye.

Where to Go for a Short Break?

For weekend tours, travel time is the key factor. Flights to cities such as Sarajevo, Belgrade, Skopje and Tbilisi take 1.5–2 hours, and the main sights can be visited over two nights. Batumi can be reached by a short flight or road trip from the Black Sea coast. Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada are ideal for a three-night seaside getaway. Within Türkiye, Cappadocia, Mardin and Southeastern Anatolia (GAP) routes offer intensive cultural itineraries that fit into a weekend.

Holiday Without Taking Leave

Two-night itineraries that depart on Friday evening and return on Sunday night do not affect your work schedule at all. Taking a day off on Friday or Monday makes a three-night itinerary possible. Days when public holidays fall next to a weekend (for example, New Year’s Day, 23 April or 19 May) are the most convenient times for short tours.

Making the Most of the Itinerary

On short tours, the flight times on the first and last days determine how much of the itinerary is spent sightseeing. Flights that arrive early in the morning and return late in the evening can turn two nights into almost three full days. Each tour’s page includes a day-by-day itinerary and flight times.

Visa Status

For short trips, the visa process can take longer than the holiday itself, so visa-free destinations are popular for weekend tours. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Georgia and Azerbaijan are visa-free for holders of ordinary passports; Georgia and Azerbaijan can also be entered with a new-type national ID card. Visas for Egypt are obtained on arrival.

Luggage and Preparation

On short tours, traveling with only cabin baggage saves time at the airport; baggage allowance varies by airline and is shown during booking. Your passport must be valid for at least six months after your return date.

Weekend Getaways in Türkiye

Popular domestic itineraries that fit into a weekend include Cappadocia balloon and valley tours, Mardin–Midyat, Şanlıurfa–Göbekli Tepe, Safranbolu–Amasra and the Black Sea highlands. Travel is by plane or bus; for itineraries using overnight buses, you leave on Friday evening and return on Monday morning, so no time off work is needed. Since domestic tours do not require a passport or visa, they are also suitable for last-minute plans. Departure points and times are listed on each tour’s page.

Choosing Dates and Prices

For short tours, the day and time of the flight have the greatest impact on the price; flights departing on Friday evenings may be more expensive than Saturday morning departures because they are in high demand. Weekends next to public holidays fill up faster. Prices applicable to each date are shown separately in each tour’s calendar.
