Europe Tours

European tours range from short stays in a single city to longer itineraries covering five or six countries. This page brings together flight-inclusive package tours that include at least one European country on their itinerary: France and Benelux, Italy, Spain and Portugal, Switzerland and Austria, Central European capitals, Scandinavia and the Baltics, the United Kingdom and the Balkans.

European Tour Routes

The most popular route is a Benelux itinerary combining Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam, with Luxembourg and Germany’s Rhine region added on. Italy tours follow the Rome, Florence, Venice and Milan circuit. The Spain–Portugal route covers Barcelona, Madrid, Seville and Lisbon. Vienna, Prague and Budapest are highlights of Central Europe tours, while Switzerland tours feature Zurich, Lucerne, Interlaken and Geneva. Scandinavian itineraries include the Norwegian fjords, Stockholm and Helsinki.

Visa Status

Countries in the Schengen Area (including Bulgaria, Romania, and Croatia), as well as the United Kingdom and Ireland, require a visa for holders of burgundy passports. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo are visa-free; Balkan tours covering these countries are the most common way to visit Europe without obtaining a visa. Schengen visa applications are usually submitted to the consulate of the country where you will spend the most nights.

How Many Nights Are Enough?

3–4 nights are enough for one country or two neighboring cities. Multi-stop routes such as Benelux, Italy, or Central Europe last 5–7 nights. Tours covering larger regions, such as Spain–Portugal and Scandinavia, last 7–10 nights. On longer tours, travel between cities is by bus; daily travel times and overnight stops are listed in the day-by-day itinerary.

When to Go?

April–June and September–October are the most balanced periods for city tours: the weather is mild, and museums and squares are not as crowded as they are in July and August. Late November to mid-December is the Christmas market season, when Vienna, Prague, Strasbourg, and cities in Germany are especially popular. Scandinavia and fjord tours are mainly organized in summer.

What Is Included in the Price?

European package tours generally include round-trip flights, accommodation with breakfast at the hotels listed in the itinerary, intercity transport and a Turkish-speaking guide. Visa fees, museum admission, optional excursions and city taxes are excluded from most packages. The included and excluded services are listed separately for each tour.

One Country or Multiple Countries?

On your first trip to Europe, multi-country itineraries let you see more cities for the same flight cost; however, changing hotels every day and spending long stretches on the bus can be tiring. For those who want to explore one country in depth, single-city stays in places like Paris, Rome or Barcelona leave more time for museums and neighbourhoods. The number of nights spent in each city, travel times between cities and periods of free time are listed in each tour’s day-by-day itinerary; checking how these are distributed is the best way to choose.
